I believe that technology is a very important part of a child's life because things are starting to get very high tech. Many children at a very young age start to learn how to use computers or other electronics before most adults know how to work them. I feel that technology is also a very important part of a school setting because that is another way for a child to learn and develop certain skills and knowledge. I also think that children should be monitored when using certain types of electronics, especially computers. Not every family or school can afford computers, but the ones that do are very fortunate. In some cases it could be the opposite where a family can afford a computer but the school district can not or the other way around. I feel that in a case where neither a family nor a school has a computer, teachers can find other ways to get the class up to date with what is going on around the world.
We as teachers need to be aware of the fact that many students don't know how important technology is becoming in our world today. We need to understand that if we don't tell them how important it is they may never know and they could suffer later on in the future, since our technology keeps changing.
